Firebase web push notifications

The websocket version does not require firebase to send push messages, its handled by websocket servers instead.

The integration with other services not available at the moment.

Does it work for Better Messages?
(My web site has Better Messages installed but no BuddyPres)

No I dont think that plugin will be compatible to send pushes, since better messages uses different logic to send the messages notifications.
