Finding user name and password

  • Dear Friends

    I am trying to link Livewriter with WordPress and everytime I do this I am told

    “blog could not be accessed using specified username and password.”

    Can someone advise me how I can find my username and password. I tried the admin settings and that gives me a username but I have tried my usual password to no avail.

  • Hi Tony I’m assuming you’re the admin of the site. Have you turned on
    XML-RPC. Once logged in go to settings/writing scroll down to Remote Publishing. Tick the checkbox for XML-RPCand make sure you save changes.
    You should now be able to post with “LiveWriter”.
