Finding out the Thumbnail Path (Featured Image)?

Seems like a silly question, but I’d like to call up the featured image / thumbnail without getting the markup around it (i.e. div, img src, etc..).

I’d like to insert it directly into a background of a div, hence the question (as I’m laying another conditional image on top of it).
