• Hello there:
Please can I possibly get any help as a blind user of WordPress, to do some designing on my website. For instance, I need assistance customising my theme. This I cannot do by myself, because of my visual handicap. So, does WordPress have any form of assistance for people like me?
Looking forward to reading from you.

  • In what way would you need help? I’ve come across a few blind web designers in my time and it was just a case of them using the best tools for their particular needs and learning how to use HTML, PHP and CSS.

    Hello Again:
I want to customize my theme. There is the new 2014 theme on my dashboard right now, and I just don’t know how to customize it, inorder to get the site working normally again. I did publish a page three days ago, and when I logged back the next day, i discovered changes on my site, making it appear like a fresh one. The 2013 theme came with the site, but there is now 2014, begging for customization. I don’t know how to do this. The site was set up in 2013.
Hoping to read from you again: thank you.

Do not edit the Twenty Fourteen theme. It is the current default WordPress theme and having access to an original, unedited, copy of the theme is vital in many situations. First create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.

    Hello again:
Please can you help me with the problem on my site. I published a page three days ago, and on the following day, my site became blank, like a very new site, without pages plugins or anything. The dashboard itself does not work normally. Please kindly help me check what the problem is:
I will not mind giving you my userword and password, as I can change this later. Thank you.

If you will like to check my dashboard to understand what the problem is, please let me know.

As this is a completely different question, please post a new topic.

You say the site came with 2013, it’s easy enough to change it back. I’m not sure how to get the site working again, but once you do, you can go into themes and change it back to 2013. WordPress is screen reader accessible, I’ve been using it as a blind person for going on 4 years now.
