I have a website where I need to update specific tables on a regular basis. I use the manual import to copy and paste from an Excel spreadsheet and replace an existing table, but it would be convenient to be able to type in the table number I need to replace rather than searching thru the table list. (I have a long list of tables that I have to to scroll thru every time to find the table I need.)

Is this an option that you could add?
Or to add the option to update the table itself with a copy and paste function?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

An enhancement for this (search and auto-complete) will indeed be coming in TablePress 2.0, which I plan to release soon! ??

Good news! Thank you, its a feature I’ve wanted for a long time. ??

Any chance you could put another set of table options at the bottom of the page as well with the ‘Save Changes’ button? The ‘Import’ ‘Export’ etc. buttons? If I am importing a large table and need to make a title, change the table options, etc, I can save the changes from the bottom of the page, but I can’t start a new import, have to scroll all the way back to the top for those buttons…

If not, no problem! Just a thought. I love Tablepress, couldn’t do without it ??

    Hi,

that’s an interesting thought. I’ll see if I can add that in a future release as well!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    Hi,

and here it is, the first beta of TablePress 2.0 is ready for testing, if you are still looking for that auto-complete when importing and replacing: https://tablepress.org/8-million-downloads-tablepress-2-0/

    Best wishes,
