find page in cpanel to edit

  • Hi there, I have created a page with a link to pic. I cannot find where to edit the size of the pic in wordpress once it is up, so therefore looked for page in cpanel, cannot find page. I could edit the dimensions if I could find the page.

    The url address just shows wordpress/singers2011 and no php page to look for. So how do you find the pages you want to edit in cpanel, how do you display the address properly. Is there a add-on tool that will help show you the address of your page?

  • You will not find any file in cpanel where you can edit the image.
    Log in admin and page where you have image right click and click on picture image and you will options there to change the size.

    Hi Govpatel, I have another question if you don’t mind. I uploaded a plugin for a calender and while I can use it as a widget in my sidebar and I have that working. I want to show the google calander on a page.

    the instructions tell me to:

    1. Create a page, give it any title you desire
    2. Add the following as a custom field: show-wpng-calendar
    3. In the value field enter the number of weeks of data you wish to display at one time
    4. Uncheck “Allow Comments” in the Discussion settings for the page

    My problem is: What is a custom field, how do I create this with WP dashboard?….

    Also, in reference to my previous question. Where do the pages go once they are created. Where are they stored, ie where does all the content go? Why can’t you access it through cpanel, in certain files?

    when you create the page scroll down a little and you will see custom field if you do not see it click on screen options and tick custom fields.

    WordPress is a CMS and is based on php which is a server language.

    When you create a page or post the data you put in the editor is saved in database.

    Once Some one clicks on page or post wordpress goes to work on server and get all the necessary information from the files and database in milliseconds and create a html page and send it browser as html is browser language.

    header(header.php)
    body (index.php or page.php depending on what template is asked for)
    sidebars (sidebar.php)
    footer (footer.php)

    All this files have field names and data is saved in database.

    This is simple form to explain how php works as there are many aother files involved in creating the page.
