I’m doing a site for a business networking group. We’re coming up with “spotlight” blurbs for the members that randomly appear on the front page. Random Content works great. I read you could put different kinds of content in different locations with shortcode attributes and I thought testimonials would be a cool addition. I created a new group but I can’t for the life of me figure out where to locate a group’s ID so I can put a shortcode for spotlights in one place and testimonials in another place. What am I missing? Thank you for this cool plugin. Steve

  • From your WordPress dashboard, Click Random Content > Group. Then, click ‘Edit’ for the group you want the ID for. In your browser’s address bar, find the &tag_ID=Number in the string – that number is the group ID.

Thank you, Rick! Super helpful and I don’t imagine I would have come up with the answer on my own. Gratefully, Steve.
