Finally modernized my site with Page Builder
-
I had a site I’d built about 8 years ago and it made my eyes bleed it was so ugly. I had rows and rows of menus, jumbled graphics, basically a hot mess.
It took me a few years to get the nerve up to try to redesign, but when I found PageBuilder and the SiteOrigin North theme, I realized I could make it modern and pretty. It took me a few months of experimenting, but I did it locally on my Mac using MAMP, then rebuilt it with improvements on a beta site, and then finally migrated to the real site.
I did have to learn a few tricks to find out how to export the Page Builder home page and re-import so it was more work than I expected but doing it from MAMP to beta gave me the practice.
Note that I am not a web developer, I’m a podcaster but I succeeded because of SiteOrigin’s awesome videos and great tech support. I bought the premium support just to make sure they got some money from me for the awesomeness.
