• In the past, I was using a WP media library plugin that had a built-in lightbox feature. It worked fine with any browser on a desktop computer, but on mobile devices, it was a hassle, the navigation was hidden and not really responsive at all as images had been cut off too. Luckily I did the research for a different gallery plugin and found Meow Gallery. The Meow Lightbox as an additional plugin is really a great add-on to the gallery. Meow Lightbox offers by far the most versatile settings to fine-tune the look and feel of my images on my WP site. I can choose from various themes, and I can make the lightbox work with my images, even if they are not used to be displayed by Meow Gallery. I can set up slideshows, block right clicks, enable download and bring social sharing to my images. I can incorporate many EXIF metadata to my images and decide which data should be shown means, for example, adding focal length, ISO, date, shutter speed, and so on independently. Meow Lightbox comes with a set of performance settings to speed up. Even a map that shows where images were taken (provided the photos have GPS coordinates stored in the EXIF data) can be displayed in a lightbox.
But all the neat features would not count anything if the lightbox would not perfectly interact on all devices and sizes as Meow Lightbox does. I highly recommend evaluating Meow Lightbox and considering the pro version as I use it. Finally, a lightbox that really works and works for all devices.
