    Hi everyone,

    I am starting to use this plugin and I only created a couple of products to test the different functionalities and I had 2 questions regarding issues I am having.

    The first one is that on the page I created if I touch any filter, tick any checkbox then I get the little text saying “updating …” but no product will appear… If I use the clear all button, to remove any filtering nothing happens, products won’t get displayed… Any idea where that is coming from?

    My second question is regarding the display of custom fields filters on the sidebar. Is there a way to get some filters to appear only for certain catalogs?
    For example, I am selling machines that can have a basket attached but other not, so I created a custom field “basket capacity”. But when people are on a catalog page for machines who can’t be used with the basket I would like this custom field not to be displayed in the filter list. Is there a way to do that?

  • Hi gdelaforge,

    For the first question, we tried clicking the URL but got a ‘Page not found’ error. Did you move the shortcode to another page?

    For the second question:
    ‘Basket capacity’ will only appear in the sidebar if there are products in that catalogue with a ‘basket capacity’ custom field value (e.g. if none of the machine products have ‘basket capacity’ selected in their settings then it won’t appear in the machine catalogue sidebar).

    Hi,

    Sorry, I only just realized that the page was in private. I published it now.

    Regarding the filters on the side, the page that I gave you the link for has two machines, none with basket options but the label Basket Capacity appears in the filters list.

    Hi there,

    Any help would be welcome on this one as it’s keeping me from making any progress on my catalog!
    Still, zero product returned on my page if I touch any filter in the sidebar, even if it is just ticking a checkbox who says 1 in the product count, nothing comes up, all products disappear.
    Also still have custom fields filter appearing even if no product in the catalog is using those custom filters.

    Let’s try out a few things:

    First make sure you are using the latest version of the plugin before continuing below.

    1.) Could you try deactivating all your plugins (except ours) and see if this makes a difference?

    2.) Could you try switching themes and see if the issue still exists? You can see the default WordPress theme “Twenty Nineteen”.

    3.) Could you try reinstalling the plugin and see if the issue still exists? You will not lose anything in your catalog, as everything is saved in the database.

    4.) What version of WordPress and PHP are you using? You can ask your host for this information.

    I noticed errors in your console log (View Screenshot). This could be related to your theme, or it could be related to your host. We need more information before we can conclude anything.

    Hi!

    Thanks for the update.

    I have tried number 1, 2 and 3 without any success. As soon as I use one of the filter product disappear and won’t show again…

    I am running WordPress 5.1.1 with Divi Theme and PHP7.

    I had a look at the console on my side and I have no errors coming up.

    What do you recommend?

    Let’s try a few more things…

    5.) Are you using any cache plugins? If so, could you empty all cache.

    6.) Have you tried disabling Divi Theme Builder and did it make a difference? If not, could you do so?

    Hello,

    Not using a cache plugin, installed one and cleared everything, still not working…

    I disabled Divi Theme, switched to the 2019 Theme, created a new blank page with nothing but my catalog. The same problem persists, as soon as I want to use the filter, I get the “updating..” message and then nothing, not product displayed. All categories count drop to Zero, as soon as I touch any filter, even tho there are products in these categories.

    Don’t know what to do really…

    Hi @gdelaforge,

    Could you check the following admin tables and see if there are any negative values for the amount of products in that respective tab?

    – Catalogs (Products in Catalog)
    – Categories (Products in Category)
    – Sub-categories (Products in Sub-category)
    – Tags (Products Tagged)

    I deleted all the custom fields and product created and it seems to be working now!
    Not sure what was wrong tho…
