Filtering post categories on home page

  • Hi and thank you for the lovely theme,

    I would like to filter out one category of blog posts from the homepage (I want to put these on a different page). How do I do that?
    I imagine I need a code to either tell the site not to include post of category X on the posts page, or the opposite, a code that tells the site to include categories XYZ on the posts page?

    Hi @nvolmering,

    It’s possible to use a filter called pre_get_posts to modify which posts get displayed in different contexts, but it’s a bit too technical for a detailed walkthrough here. There might be plugins that allow you to change which categories are displayed in the main posts flow as well, but I don’t know of any offhand.
