    Hello there!

our store (a Music store) sells products as variations

A product (parent) is a release, whose variations (Vinyl, CD, Downloads …) are sold.

we are unable to get to the orders by variation – we cannot filter by individual variation. This is a major issue for us

    Example

Go to Orders, choose some (parent) product in the table below. Click on the name of the product. This opens the Products menu for all orders associated with that parent product.

At that point you can see the total number of orders of each variation, but you are unable to drill down any further

    – selecting the Variation name will send you to the admin of the product itself (fair enough)
    – selecting the number of orders of a particular variation will only send you back to the order page with the parent product as an active filter This is not helpful at all, alas.

Will you be implementing filtering of orders by individual variations?

Can we do anything at the moment?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi @gbruzzo,

Currently it is indeed not possible to filter reports based on variations, however there is a GitHub post in the Admin Repo you can track about this very thing!

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-admin/issues/3665

Please feel free to follow this GitHub thread, as it should show when it is implemented.

I will go ahead and close this thread now as the GitHub thread should suffice. If you do have any other questions please open a new thread and let us know!

    Hello Mike

Thanks for responding, added my comments to the Github repo.

I really insist : filtering orders by individual variations (and having variations appear in the CSV reports for example, which they do not!) is CORE functionality, not an afterthought.

As it stands this plugin is pure ballast for any store that uses variations.

Do you have an ETA for this to be implemented?

    Please advise
