Filtering members based on fields value

  • Hi,
    member directory doesn’t provide a good way for filtering members into groups. For example I have attorneys, Dr.s, etc. and I want to have separate directories for Attorneys and other professions. But it is not possible to filter the members based on field values.

    Also I’d like to filter members based on their locations before showing it to members. In this way I can group my members to different territories and then users can search with a limited other fields to find their interest. However, I have not found UM capable of doing this without coding.

    Is there any way that I can use to achieve above?

    Hi @afarahani,

    You can create separate member directories for different user roles.
    Unfortunately, filtering by location is not possible in the current version of the plugin and would require customization.

    Thanks for quick response.

    I see there is an extension for creating user tags. Is it possible to list group of members based on their assigned tags? e.g. if I have a group of attorneys in different cities, can I have a directory that shows attorneys whose city is Chicago?

    BTW, I see you have changed the look of your website. pretty! Are you going to do the same with the look of plugin?
