    Hi
There seem to have occurred a general issue with the filtering in the advanced search, as I am having the following issue on both my own page and your demo-page.

When trying to stack filtering options, they get ignored after selecting two or more categories. In your demo, the “Bangkok Coconut Strawberry Juice Recipe” is listed for the cuisines “Chinese, French, Indian”. But when filtering, if I choose eg. Korean, the recipe is correctly hidden, because it is not Korean. But if I chose one more eg. Chinese, it is shown again. Previousely this filtering only showed recipes that were Korean AND Chinese. Now it is showing recipes that are Korean OR Chinese.
Did the logic change with the last update? Because we have set up our whole page about allergy-friendly recipes using that logic, and using Cuisines as the “allergens” with changed name and icons (https://staging-1662119893.allergivenligeopskrifter.dk/ )

Otherwise please specify which search-filters stack (OR-logic) and which filters that ‘eleminate’ (AND-logic) as this is a vital knowledge for our use of you brilliant plugin.

Edit: Here is small video showing issue: https://streamable.com/04hcz7

    Thank you.

    Hi @thaad,

Thank you for the detailed explanation. We haven’t made any changes to search logic recently.

Currently, it applies OR login within the same filter and applies AND logic with other filters. We have already on our roadmap to improve the search page allowing the users to choose the logic they want. Further, it will also update the recipe counts in other filters based on the filters selected which is currently missing.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you.

Hi. Thank you for the quick reply.

Great that it is on the roadmap. Do you have any sort of ETA?

In the meantime, is there any way I can do a workaround to change the logic within a filter, until the plugin supports more search customization? It is okay if it means editing in the plugin code, I am comfortable doing that.

Also great with the counters for the filters. They seem to be bugged when the number-count gets to high.

    Thank you!

    Hi @thaad,

While it is difficult to give an exact ETA, if everything goes as per our plan, we plan to release this feature in the first quarter of this year.

Currently, our team is working on bug fixes and other feature improvements.

We don’t recommend modifying the plugin code unless you are very good at the time. Providing PHP code is beyond my expertise.

    Thank you.

Okay, that sounds great. Really hope that everything goes per plan.

We will wait and hope for a update soon!

    Thank you.

    Hi again

I just noticed Version 1.5.0 is now available. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like the improvement to the search page allowing the users to choose the logic they want has been included.

I’m just curious to know if it’s still on the roadmap?

    Best regards.

    Hi @thaad,

This update included bug fixes and some optimization. The search refinement and some other features are on our roadmap in version 1.5.1.

    Thank you.

Thank you so much for your quick reply!

As mentioned earlier we have set up a whole page using your great plug-in which we are of course eager to launch. I’m so sorry for pushing, but I’m very curious to know if the ETA of first quarter of this year regarding the of the search refinement is still valid? ??

    Hi @thaad,

Our goal is to get it live within this month if QA team approves it after testing. Along with this we are also working on other features like: SVG support for custom icons, more recipe meta fields, additional nutrition facts layouts and so on.

    Thank you.

    Hi @thaad,

An urgent issued was needed to be addressed regarding the translation so we couldn’t add this feature in the recent update. It will be added in 1.5.2 along with other planned features. Since there are some major improvements in 1.5.2, it might take some time and it’s hard to give an ETA.

    Thank you.

    Hi again

I noticed the 1.5.2 update was ready, but the filtering issues seems to be the same? Can you confirm, or do we need to do something to make it work correctly? We are starting to get a bit desperate, as we have teased for out new recipe-platform for a while now, but wtill aren’t able to go live.

    Best regards

    Hi @thaad,

That version included the translation fixes.

While working on the search feature, our team faced some issues with the implementation and had some roadblocks. So, we have to hold off on this feature for now until we figure out a solution to implement it effectively. Our team is working on Pro version features.

This is something we will do but we don’t have an exact ETA. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If this is urgent, you can explore the option of hiring professional developers from freelancing websites to work on your requirements.

    Thank you.

    Hi again

Is it possible for you to “unlock” it? Our developer says, that it is locked so they can’t make changes.

    Thanks ??

    Hi @thaad,

Our developer informed that we haven’t restricted any files for modifications. Your developer should be able to make the necessary modifications.

If you could provide specific information, we will be able to assist you further.

    Thank you.
