I’m hoping this is an easy issue to resolve.

When using bulk actions to edit standard wordpress posts it is still possible to filter them by category even if the post is set to private or unpublished.

I’m trying to understand if the same process should be possible in Events Manager?

At the moment I have one recurring event that is categorised and published so therefore it is possible to filter by category in the admin area so the event can be edited.

If however the event is set to “private” or “unpublished” the category list on edit.php?post_type=event is empty so it is not possible to filter by categories.

This is an issue as it would be ideal if an admin user could filter by a specific category and use a bulk action to set events to unpublished or private and then when they want to republish the events use that category to filter and bulk edit those events.

I’d be grateful if anyone can shed some light on this.

    Thanks,

    Ian

filter by category works for me, however did you mean it doesn’t include events with “private” or “unpublished” ?

Hi angelo, thanks for your reply.

Not quite, the situation I’m experiencing is the category filter doesn’t show a category if those events are private or unpublished.

(I’m referring to the admin area where the select boxes are located for “bulk actions” “future events” and “categories”)

E.g. I have 10 events. 5 are categorised as “music” and 5 as “sport”

At this stage both “music” and “sport” are in the category filter list.

If I then do a bulk action and set the “music” events to private the category filter no longer includes “music” as an option to filter by. (So it is therefore difficult to find them and do a bulk action to set them back to public)

I’m running Events Manager locally on MAMP without any other plugins but for some reason the category filter doesn’t seem to work as expected.

    Thanks ,

    Ian

    Hi angelo,

    The version is: 5.5.3.1

I’m getting this too. I’ll pass this on to the dev team.
