Filterable PDF Galleries

  • I came upon this plugin while looking for a solution that will allow me to filter our product’s PDFs by type and application (how products can be used). Is this possible with this plugin or in combination with another plugin of which you’re aware?

    Basically we have a large database of PDFs and want to be able to sort them in different ways.

    Hi Izevon,

    Yes, this is definitely possible with Document Gallery.

    If I understand your requirements correctly, your best bet would be to combine Document Gallery with a plugin that adds support for adding categories to your attachments. Support for categories and custom taxonomies is documented on the Installation tab under the Categories/Custom Taxonomy Option header.

    For taxonomy support, I’ve generally used Media Categories for attachment taxonomy support, but there are a number of other plugins DG users have used. Anything should work if it approaches adding this functionality in a sane manner.
