Filter view in query (GET) string?

In the same vein as shortcodes, I’d love to be able to link a preset view with a combination of calendar view (month) and a tag. I’ve tried playing with some of the shortcode strings but no luck. Any chance this already exists and I’ve missed the documentation somewhere.
