    Hello,

I recently added this plugin to our website and all works except that it is returning items with “out of stock” variations which we do not want. We have items with options and when selecting a size from the filter (which we had to use the tags field to populate because the attribute field did not populate our color and size options defined on tags) it does not filter out the items where all variations are out of stock.
I have the setting enabled to “Hide out of stock variations” however that does not seem to be working.
    Please help. Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

It seems products has attribute value, but variation not exist. You can remove attribute value that or create variation and set it to out of stock.

Thank you for your reply however, you have to create an account for us to approve so you can then login and see the item options. Right now you will not see the item options listed because you are not logged in with an approved account. If you go ahead and submit to create an account I can approve it so you can see the item variations.

    Hello,

    1. Check that product has variation with attribute value that has this issue and it set to “Out of stock”
    2. Try to change stock status in variation to “In stock” and save product, then cahnge it back to “Out of stock” and save product.
    3. Try to regenerate WooCommerce Product lookup tables in admin area -> WooCommerce -> Status -> Tools.

Thank you for your reply, when you have an account and log in to view the items on the site. You would be able to see that the item options are showing the options that are in stock and it greys out and puts a red X through the options that are not in stock. So those stock status flags are working properly.
It just seems like the plugin is not picking up which variations are in stock and out of stock so it just returns everything which is not correct based on the settings.
See if this video will show you what the issue is. I have logged in and video captured the actions.

    Hello,

How it is setuped on product edit page?
If product has attribute value on this tab https://imgur.com/a/ZjC3cVk, then variation also must be created and set to out of stock https://imgur.com/a/OfJSx8q

If variation not exist, then plugin will detect it as “In stock”.

    Oleg

    Thank you for your reply.
I do have attribute values defined as well as variations set to track inventory with inventory counts for each variation. That is how my item page shows some of the variation options as being greyed out and not clickable because they are out of stock.
Please see this video so you can see what I am describing.
I select the filter search for all size 2 items and you see the items returned with having a size of 2 in stock however, when you go into the item details and view the variations they are out of stock for each size 2.

    Hello,

Filter that is displayed on page use product tags, but for variation you use attributes, filter must use attribute that used for variation.

Also as I can see you use local attributes, but plugin can work only with global attributes, that added in admin area -> Products -> Attributes.

    Oleg

Oh ok that must be the issue here. I set the options up per item using an import file. I will see if I can recreate the options as global and apply them. Thanks for your guidance and sticking with this for me. I sincerely appreciate it.

UPDATE: After making all of the item options global attributes vs local attributes per your suggestion this plugin worked like a charm and did exactly what we needed it to! Thank you very much for your guidance on this one. I highly recommend this plugin to all.
Have a great and positive day.
