    Hi ??
I consider using this plugin on a medical website where each doctor has his own page. My first question is: can I filter the reviews (even manually) so only the relevant reviews will be shown on each doctor’s page?
My second question is what (if any) is the effect of showing Google reviews in terms of SEO? Can it harm my rankings?
    Thank you.

    Hi @yon-v,

    1. To answer to your first question, please read below how the plugin works.

The plugin uses the Google Places?API?to get your reviews. The?API?only returns the 5 most helpful reviews. When Google changes the 5 most helpful the plugin will automatically add the new one to your database. Thus slowly building up a database of reviews. It’s a limitation of Google, not specifically the plugin.

So, when you connect the reviews to your first page, you can hide any reviews from only these 5 downloaded, but not others. It will work the same for all other pages.

    2. Sorry, I find it difficult to answer, because I’m not very good of SEO and our plugin is more for other things. The plugin shows Google rating and reviews directly on your website and it should increase your customer trust and as a result of sales. It’s a main gold of the plugin.

For SEO it may good for new content to Google indexation.

I hope I answered to all of your questions. If you have any other, please let me know.

    Thanks!

Thank you very much for your reply, @richplugins.
If I understand you correctly, the plugin will only show up to 5 reviews (most helpful), because of Google policy. Hence, I can’t decide on what reviews to show on different web pages. Can you attach a link to this policy?
Thank’s again for your helpful reply.

    Hi @yon-v,

It’s not a policy, it’s a limitation of official (and public) Google Places API which uses in the plugin as a legal way to show the Google reviews on the site, you can read about it here https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/places/web-service/details (find by text ‘JSON array of up to five reviews’).

Yes, right, you filter only the reviews which you downloaded through this API and at the first time, it’s only five, after sometime, it can increase, if Google changes these 5 most-helpful.

    Thanks!
