filter related post display

Hi Ajay,

I have installed the crp-taxonomy plugin. My filter results in the related posts plugin still show products from other categories.

Under General options
I have one field checked under this option: Fetch related posts only from:

Under List tuning options
I have Disable contextual matching checked

Is there something I’m missing?

On List Tuning, you don’t need to disable the contextual matching.

For the Fetch related posts, have you selected just the “Same categories” option?

Also, for your posts, are they in one or many categories? If it’s the latter, then the related posts are from all of the post’s categories.

Hi Ajay, Still can’t find the right combo of buttons to display related posts only from a particular category. Wish I there was an easy way to show you my settings. I have fetch related posts set to the category I want to display – “Same goods_category”
In example, this page should only show (5) related posts, there are only (5) in the category – it is showing 6. It doesn’t seem like the plugin is using the category as a filter.

Hi Ajay, Sorry, I was trying to filter a subset of the category, which isn’t possible unless i use tags. I misunderstood, the plugin is working fine. Thanks
