    Hi there.

We’ve got an issue where the filter has stopped working on our live site but not our staging site: https://doublebarrelled.co.uk/shop/ vs https://dbbeerstaging.wpengine.com/shop

They both have their plugins updated at the same time and the only one that’s different between them is the staging site has a newer version of WP Rocket – however, that’s not been updated in the past few days, and the filter was working fine until this morning. The filter is still working on live, as can be seen by going to https://doublebarrelled.co.uk/product-category/beer/?yith_wcan=1&product_cat=event – but the links generated by Yith when doing a standard filter, and that we use as custom links in our menu, aren’t working.

I’ve followed the various troubleshooting tips around flushing caches and product transients, regenerating databases etc with no luck. Any ideas?

    Best,
    Nick.

As an FYI – I’ve now changed the shop links on the live site to match the structure that DOES work but the broken filter can still be seen at /shop for troubleshooting – the change of URL that I’ve implemented is a temporary measure.

    Hi there,

Please go to WooCommerce > Status > Tools, run the following tools and then check if the issue is solved.

    • WooCommerce transients
    • Product lookup tables
    • Term counts
    • Update database
    • Regenerate the product attributes lookup table
    • Clear Product Filter transients
    • Clear Product Filter sessions

If you still have issues, I suggest you try disabling all the plugins except for WooCommerce and our plugin and then check if the issue is solved.
If so, then you will need to enable the rest of the plugins, one by one, until finding the one causing the issue.

    Have a nice day!

    Hi there.

Yes, I did all of the above prior to messaging as I found that on a help article. I can’t disable plugins, this is a live site – but the plugin versions on here are exactly the same as they are on the staging link I sent you, and the plugin works fine on that site as you’ll see from visiting the links above, so I would think any conflict would impact both sites as they’re identical?

    Best,

    Nick

    Hi there,

I checked your issue in the shop page, it seems the issue is not caused by our plugin and it is an issue with WooCommerce which is affecting our plugin. If you use the layered navigation of WooCommerce which our plugin is based on, the same problem occurs:
    https://doublebarrelled.co.uk/shop/?product_cat=event ( WooCommerce layered navigation )

    https://doublebarrelled.co.uk/shop/?yith_wcan=1&product_cat=event ( our plugin filtering )

As this issue is with WooCommerce I recommend to follow what my colleague mentioned and disabled your plugins one by one to find what is causing the issue in the first link. If you can’t do that in your live site, I suggest to create a new staging or refresh your staging site with the new changes, replicate your problem and perform the test in that site.

Solving this problem with WooCommerce, will solve the problem with our plugin too.

I hope this information can help you.
