be sure the name of the field and the string it’s testing are exactly the same as what is defined for the field.

I have doubled checked the name of the field, but I am still having the same issue.

What do you have for your values in your “approve” field definition?

Well, I’ve never seen anyone have trouble with this once they got it right, but everything you’re telling me is right.

I’d say take a look at your database, using PHPMyAdmin or some other database tool, and see what you have stored in your records in the “approve” column.
