    Hi everybody!
In 1.37.0 we now have a nice structure salary by year, month etc.
But how to use it with joblistings as a filter?

In older versions there was a code snipped to use in functions.php.

Is there a solution to use the new salary structure for filtering joblistings?

    Thank you for your ideas!

    Greetings Deexperte

  • Hi @deexperte

I’ve seen you’d like to filter jobs by salary in the Jobs list/search, and that’s still possible using the snippet, even if you enabled the Salary option from the plugin settings ??

You can find the snippet on the bottom of the page below:

    https://wpjobmanager.com/document/tutorial-adding-a-salary-field-for-jobs/

Adding code changes directly to the functions.php file is not a good option; I’d suggest using a snippets plugin such as Code Snippets.

    Hi @muffinpeace!

    Thank you for your support.
    So far so good.

In the snippet you mentioned the selection goes with amount but without being connected to the time unit.
What are the thouhgts of Job Manager-Team? Whats the best for candidates UI in this case?

    Hi @deexperte

I’m not sure I follow what you’re saying, could you please clarify this a little more? What are you referring to with “time unit”?

    Hello @bizanimesh !
Thank you for coming back to me.

I assume you know that since 3.7.0 user can input:
    Post a Job –>
Salary amount (payment per salary period)
salary period unit (year, month, week, ..)

    Lets say 1000 per month.

Now how users can filter jobs 1000 month?

    Greetings Deexperte

    Hi @deexperte

Jobs can only be filtered by yearly salary using the last snippet at the bottom of this page:

    https://wpjobmanager.com/document/tutorial-adding-a-salary-field-for-jobs/

With some customization to that specific snippet, it’s possible to change the period unit to whatever you please, but we can’t assist with that.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

    Hello @deexperte,

I guess the question you are referring to is this one:

Now how users can filter jobs 1000 month?

If that’s so, the snippet we mentioned earlier (which is this one) is very good start for achieving your job/monhtly salary filtering goal.

To do that, you will need to tweak the snippet to make it filter the salary on a monthly basis – while the original snippet filters jobs on a yearly basis.

These changes goes unfortunately beyond the [scope of our support](https://wpjobmanager.com/support-policy/), so we can’t help much on that.

Hope that clarifies things around, and let me know if I misinterpreted your last message!

    Hello @bizanimesh & @erania-pinnera !

Thank all who has responded to me.

While we have salary per hour, month, day etc. there is the need to update the snippet.

User has to be able to select time span AND salary for selected time span.

Without that, we are not ready. I recommend updating the code snippet.
