Sorry if this has been asked before – I couldn’t find the answer…
Is it possible to filter starting at a certain term in a hierarchical taxonomy (e.g. categories) and then just show child terms for further filtering?

    Hi @simonmaddox

Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.

If you mean if there is the possibility to cut off some hierarchy categories and show only the ones that you need from the middle then no, there is no such possibility.

If you mean can you use parent categories in one filter and chield ones in the second filter also no. You can create with PRO version two filter sets and place them on the same page to create two filter sets with include/exclude functionality to display only the needed ones in one set and then in another one.

    Best Regards – Victor

It was the former that I wanted – to set the start point of the category search to something other than the root and to opt to include that node in the tree or not.
I hope you might consider this in the future…..

    Hi @simonmaddox

Perhaps with future updates something like that will be added to the plugin functionality.

    Best Regards – Victor
