Filter Events on Calendar does not work with custom taxonomy

  • I’m working with WP FullCalendar and Events Manager plugin. I made a custom taxonomy for the Event post type and wanted to filter by that. But whenever you change the dropdown menu to another option, it always shows the same option. In some confusion, I realized I did not need the custom taxonomy and instead reverted to using the built-in Event Categories taxonomy. And that filters just fine. Just a heads up that this is an issue.

    I found out that we do still need to filter by more taxonomies than the built-in Event Categories. I found out though, that if the custom taxonomies have a hyphen in them, rather than an underscore, it creates an issue. I renamed my taxonomies to use underscores and the filter worked as expected. When I used custom taxonomies with hyphens, it always showed all events, regardless of taxonomy.

    And what about tags? I am not being able to filter event by tags. It doesn′t matter if there is a hypen or a underscore.
