Filter doesn’t work after page 1

When I apply a filter, for example I select “cosmetics” only and then filter, it works. But after I click on page 2, the filter is no longer applied. Page 1 does not show all the items that are cosmetics. How do I enable it so that the filter is applied even when a user clicks onto the next page?
