• We are utilizing the filter with a vehicle parts finder plugin. The issue is that if the product is a universal product, it is not populating the drop down filter with the appropriate attribute that is present is the universal products.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

What do you mean under ‘universal product’?

If you are using custom attributes created inside the product it will not work with filters. Only global attributes created under wp-admin -> Products -> Attributes that are attached to the products will work in the filters.

    Hi Dima!

They are global attributes – that’s the odd thing.

How are the terms dynamically pulled in? Via the WooCommerce product loop?

    Thanks!

I’ll need screenshots of the filter edit page, at least 1 of the universal product edit page(WooCommerce attributes section).

Before that please open plugin settings page tab Advanced and clear the cache.

    Dima

    Hello,

Please try in plugin settings change option Values count and output to All non-empty values are displayed; standard recounting is applied to check are filters display needed values at all.

That does display the values if the VPF is populated for lighting kits, but in the case of other categories where we do want the drop down to be filtered to the products that show up based on the initial parts filter, then all values are displayed (which makes sense, of course).

So the attributes are there, the key seems to be if a product is marked as universal then it isn’t part of the product ‘loop’ which is used for the drop down for the filter.

    Hello,

Please try to filter page by values that is not displayed before, but displayed after Values count and output option change, maybe those values do not have products at all or products cannot be detected by filters.

    Oleg
