Filter counts

In the filter menu in the SupportCandy home page there is a count next to Unresolved but there are no counts next to any of the other filters which is misleading to naive users who will interpret the lack of counts as there being no tickets meeting those criteria.
I may use CSS to remove the Unresolved count just to clean the UI up but I’d rather have the other filter counts shown.
Support claims that the other counts are not shown “because of the performance issue” which I just don’t believe … if you can scan the tickets to get the Unresolved count you can scan them to get the All Tickets, Unassigned, Mine, Closed, and Deleted counts.
Anyone got a better solution than suppressing the Unresolved count?
