Filter by author?

    I maintain a multi-user site and wanted to set up newsletters for individual authors and need to find a way to filter the “Post Notification” by the author. Is there any way to do this without using tags or categories?

    I would prefer it does it by the author as to not have injections into other authors mailing list by including a tag, as there is no way to restrict what tags they use.

    Third party options are acceptable.
