Filter birthdays in the “Birthday Widget”

  • Hi,

    I’d like to know how to put the birthdays of my players/staff in a different order. Indeed, I show the birthdays of the current week on my site but they appear from the oldest year of birth to the most recent year of birth while I’d like them to appear in a chronological order depending on the day and the month of birth. How can I make it ?

    On another hand, I only want my players/staff of the current season to appear on the widget. How can I filter it as I keep all my players/staff from the past seasons as archive ?

    Hi @ventatto ,

    SportsPress does not have this specific template for birthdays, but because the Date of Birth is actually the post-date of Player, you will be able to use any 3nd party plugin that allows you to show your posts (or Custom Post Types) in advanced ordering.

    For the current season filtering, its not available right now, but it is a very good idea! Please share it at our Ideaboard for further discussion and upvoting ??

    What is do you mean by “any 3nd party plugin” ? Is there a plugin to show elements of a widget in advance ordering (without showing all posts of the website in that order) ?

    Ok but then, where do I put the shortcodes ? Impossible in the Birthday widget, right ?

    Hi!

    That depends on the plugin you use.

    That plugin, in particular, has its own shortcode, so you can’t use the birthday widget for that.
