Hi there, I have sent two support tickets regarding these issues but have not received a response for going on 4 days.

1 – The updated plugins remove the save button from the filter bar add on

2 – Can I have more than one filter bar so that I can exclude the category search when showing a single category using a shortcode?

3 – When selecting a custom field in the filter, it sometimes shows “no results found” and sometimes shows “no results found, click here to jump to the next events”. Clicking on that link doesn’t go anywhere, it does nothing ??

I have sent a video showing this to support, but have been ignored. I have tried disabling all plugins, it persists, I have switched to a default theme, it persists.

Rolling back the plugins shows the save button for the filter bar but does not fix the search issue.

Please let me know what can be done or how I can get support for these issues.

    Thank you

  • Seconding this issue for visibility. I cannot even modify my filter bars because the save button is missing!

    Hey @veronicaclareweb and @mankatomn

Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the delay in premium support response time.
We are processing a large number of tickets at the moment. Thank you for your patience.

You are absolutely right, there is a glitch that started with version 5.14 of the Events Calendar that prevents Filter Bar from playing nicely.

We will release a fix for this really soon.
In the meantime, you have a couple of options (after the usual site backup, of course):

    1. Use this snippet https://gist.github.com/Camwyn/ad86fa02ef50098c8c6801a9a4c2ff22
    2. Roll back to a version older than 5.14 https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/accessing-older-plugin-versions/

    Hang in there!
    Geoff

Tried rolling back, no dice: To begin using Filter Bar, please install and activate Filter Bar (5.2.0+).

As far as the code snippet – Where are we putting that? kinda need to know

Got it to work. I added the php to the bottom of
    /code/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-filterbar/the-events-calendar-filter-view.php

Make sure you don’t include the opening <?php tag.

Really ridiculous that this is broken for a week and NO ONE at the support desk nor in this forum can offer any helpful guidance at all. THIS IS A PAID PRODUCT.

    I received feedback today….

    Hello Veronica,

Thanks for reaching out to us, and apologies for the delayed response as we are experiencing a higher load in support.
Also, apologies that you are having this issue here.

We have an internal bug ticket for this, and I have added your case to it. I will definitely pass along the details you shared with our Dev team.

One of our Dev created a snippet to fix this issue here and should work with the updated version:

Version 5.14.0 — The Events Calendar
Version 5.12.1 — The Events Calendar Pro

Go to Appearances → Theme Editor → Select Theme → functions.php, or you can apply this to your child theme — apply this Custom Snippet in this link here → https://gist.github.com/Camwyn/ad86fa02ef50098c8c6801a9a4c2ff22. Rest assured that we are working on a permanent fix in the next releases.

We don’t have a time estimate, but you’ll be notified with a reply when there are any updates.

Thanks, and again, so sorry for this. We appreciate your patience. Let me know how it goes on your end.

    Have a great week ahead.

Hello there @veronicaclareweb and everyone! ??

I’m reaching out to let you know that our development team were able to solve the issue where the “save” button were missing in the Filter Bar tab.
To see everything working fine again please update The Events Calendar plugin to v5.14.0.2 and you should be good to go!

Once you update let us know if the issue has gone ??

    Cheers,

Fixed and removed the custom code. Thanks.
