Filling or removing bottom box on page

  • I use Parabola often. I have two current sites:
    https://dancingduo.net/ …and…
    https://grantsvoice.com/

    On Dancing Duo, there is an empty box just at the bottom of the page that I cannot figure out. I’ve populated widgets to see what shows up there- nothing. I can’t find a way to eliminate it either.

    On Grants Voice, using the same layouts (as much as I can figure out) that box is not there. Don’t know what I did differently.

    Anyone help?

    Finally found that putting an image just in the “first footer area” did the trick, but still don’t understand why I HAD to do that.
