Those posts then become the parent post of those recipes: https://help.bootstrapped.ventures/article/279-recipes-and-their-parent-post

By giving the post a specific category you could set up a cookbook page, for example. Alternatively you could use a grid solution like this:

Do I understand correctly if I should use posts and add recipes into the posts and use a category, like ¨recipes¨ to be able to file/sort them?

That’s one of the possibilities, yes. The grid is not required. You can use the regular theme category pages as well.
