Filezilla failing hundreds of files on WP install

  • hi, Been trying to install WordPress on filezilla and hundreds of files failed,it seems to have installed though.
    I closed filezilla down when i saw all the failed files and signed in again and the failed file tab was empty so i dont know exactly what they were.Should i upload again? Thanks

  • Yes, I would certainly recommend beginning again. You never know when you’ll try to use one of the corrupted or missing files.

    You may also wish to check your FileZilla settings to ensure it is set to keep re-trying on failed transfers.

    Personally, I prefer to install by uploading a single .zip or .tar.gz file of all the install files, and decompressing on the host. Unfortunately, not all hosts allow that, but it is a worthwhile approach on those that do, typically in a File Manager GUI.
