    Hi,

Form fields: “file upload” vs image.

It makes sense that I can not resize an “file upload” file as it might not be image, but then using an image form field has issues:

    * There is no CSS ID or class on the IMG tag.

    * When I go to dashboard edit (to add or replace) I’m put into a post. Now if I could add or modify the width of the image in the post that would be OK, but nothing I do in the post seems to matter. I add an image to the body of the post or add a featured image, nothing. I really don’t know the purpose of this post.

    * But if I go and edit the entry from the directory itself, I can reupload a new “file upload”, but I have no option to do anything with the image field. Updating the entry does delete the uploaded image file contents, which I have no way to replace.

*Neither the file upload or the image field are displayed on the single entry view when a person drills down to see the detailed directory entry. This is also a problem.

Conclusion: I have no way to manage an image field in a directory unless the post can be used somehow. Eventually the user will update the entry and it will get deleted and not be replaceable even from the admin dashboard.
