Files uploaded to wrong directory

Thanks for raising the issue. Can you confirm that this happens for any file? If so, could you share your configuration or steps to reproduce this issue to test this problem and try to come with a solution?

On WP Media settings:
Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders — checked

On MS Azure settings:
No CNAME defined
Use Microsoft Azure Storage when uploading via WordPress’ upload tab. –checked
Keep local files after uploading them to Azure Storage. –unchecked
Timeout 15
Cache control: 600

For example, today is sept 5, 2018. I uploaded the following images and they were both placed in the 07 directory.
