Files upload directory creation

Hello,
I have created ,put permissions_directories and index.html to 777, still have this message in the form field: “It is not possible to create the folder. Please check folder access credentials /”.
Even if I have followed the post for that:

I have given ‘files’, or ‘Téléchargement'(french name for ‘upload’) for that directory. In vain…
Please help, I do not understand wht is the matter with this simple troubleshooting…
