Files on GoDaddy server not syncing with WordPress files

    Hello,
    I am working on a WordPress site that had been automatically installed on a GoDaddy server using the GoDaddy WordPress application (not by me). Now, the files and folders on my GoDaddy server (viewed using a third party FTP client or the GoDaddy FTP File Manager) do not seem to match the files/folders I see through the WordPress Admin.

    For example, on my Themes page WP is telling me there is a broken theme called AA Custom Theme 1. I deleted that directory from the server, but I can still see the broken theme in WP Admin.

    Also, when I look at the content of a certain style.css file in the WP Editor, I can see someone made changes and that file is different than the one I see on the server.

    Last example, I installed a new theme threw WP Admin, but I do not see that theme in the wp-content/themes folder on the server.

    I am on WP 3.1.1 and my themes are up to date. I imagine this lack of synchronization has something to do with the way WordPress was installed through GoDaddy, but I can’t figure out the problem and am not really sure what to do, short of uninstalling the GoDaddy app and reinstalling manually. Any ideas?

    Nevermind, complicated answer to why this wasn’t working. Basically the subdomain that displayed the blog was set to point to a different IP address, which had a copy of the WordPress install. If you experience this problem, log in to GoDaddy and open Domain Manager to see if your domain is resolving to a different server. Another hint is that I could FTP into the (not live) GoDaddy WordPress directory via IP address. But when I tried to FTP using host name, my credentials failed.
