files in /inc directory in child theme not updating

  • Hi there,

    I have a child theme and need to modify a file inside a drectory /parent-theme/inc/widgets/widgets-functions/file.php

    I have copied this directory into my child theme and updated it, but it is not updating on the frontend.

    Should I be copying these files in my child theme, or can I just update them in the parent theme?
