    Hi everyone,

I have tested and compared both plugins: FileBird and CatFolders.

And I have realized, that both plugins are technically almost the same. So now I am not sure if one of the plugins is just copied and rebranded? And why? FileBird seems to be maintained more frequently.

    Hey,

thank you for your interest in the FileBird plugin.

During the course of product development and research, I came across no fewer than five plugins that forked FileBird. However, CatFolders is not one of them. Since its initial release, CatFolders has come with ReactJS, TypeScript, and distinct design choices.

On the other hand, FileBird adopted ReactJS only starting with version 6.0. Maybe that’s why the two plugins appear somewhat similar in their interface or functionality.

To add a bit of background, I personally know the developer behind CatFolders, and we have since built a friendly partnership. Even so, our approaches to plugin development and maintenance are guided by user requests and priorities.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Our team is happy to assist further.

    Best regards,

    Hey @ninjateam ,

thanks for the reply. Yes, the functionality and the optical was almost 1:1, therefore I was wondered about that. It was like stealing other’s code and just replace some elements.

But nice that you both have a partnership.

It was a little hard for me to choice the correct plugin, because both are almost the same.

    Hello,

I’m glad that you’ve gotten some clarification over the confusion now.

So, just feel free to go for whichever you want between the two, but I would highly recommend you come with my company, of course ??

    Regards.
