    Hi,

today I installed and activated version filebird lite 4.9.8. WordPress 5.9

I create a new folder and I can see it. But I cannot delete or rename the folder, it is all grey. But I can put some images in it.

When I am leaving “Media” an come in again, the folder is not here. Refreshing the site is the same – no folder exists.

I delete the plugin and installed again – the same.

    BTW – I am the admin :-).

    Can anybody help?
    many thx
    bye
    maro

    Hi @maro5 ,

Thanks for coming today and sorry to hear about that issue!
May I know if your website is hosted with GoDaddy?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Bruce,

no, it is only for internal, for the intranet. On a windows system with IIS.

I have another older installation with XAMPP and the plugin is running on this system.

    ??
    bye

    Hi @maro5 ,

Please try to deactivate all your plugins and leave only FileBird, then check if you can now create folders?

Also, if the issue persist, can you duplicate your site to a real server and allow us to fix it there?

    Kind regards,
    -Bruce-

    Hi,

first I deactivated all other plugins – same error.
Second – I delete the filebird plugin and install again – same error.

I have another older installation with XAMPP and the plugin is running on this system with all the same plugins.

I have no real server, sorry.

    bye

Hey – I’m having a similar issue here. I have a fresh install, but on a server. I have a similar setups on other machines and they’re all working just fine.

    The Problem:
The FileBird folders appear when I first make them, but on page refresh they vanish along with their contents.

    Additional Odd Behavior:
The “All Files” count shows 0 even though files are present.

Steps Taken to solve issue on my own:

    1. No specific errors in Chrome’s console that would be related.
    2. Switched php between 7.4, 8.0, 8.1 – still nothing.
    3. Using Latest WordPress (5.9.2) and FileBird (4.9.8)
    4. Brushed my cat
    5. Disabled and reenabled all plugins
    6. Changed themes (Nothing fancy installed, just WP’s defaults)
    7. Not hosted with GoDaddy
    8. Cleared the caches
    9. Drove around town
    10. Dropped FileBird’s database rows
    11. Cleared transients
    12. Started over from scratch [Wiped the host machine and reinstalled everything]

It seems like there may be a bug with FileBird.

    Hi @jasonhouge,

The issue is caused by Sucuri security integrated in GoDaddy hosting.
You need whitelist your IP and it will work.
    Cheers!

    That’s the issue with GoDaddy?

I’m not hosted by GoDaddy, so unfortunately that didn’t solve the issue.
