file_get_contents error

    i get this error on the first load of a page with this installed, but not on subsequent loads:

    file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in…

    i can’t seem to override the error with a php.ini tweak like

    allow_url_fopen = On

    is there any other solution or suggestion to fix this?
