• Hi everyone,

I’m encountering the following PHP error across multiple plugins on a single site:

“file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/www/vhosts/fervent-varahamihira.210-7-48-103.plesk.page/httpdocs/bizzybrahmans/wp-content/uploads/bb-ultimate-addon/site-1-category-63.dat) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/bizzybrahmans.com.au/:/tmp/)”

Unfortunately, my service provider wasn’t able to assist and suggested I reach out to the plugin support team to determine why this issue keeps occurring. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Best regards

  • The bb-ultimate-addon plugin appears to be a commercial product from https://www.ultimatebeaver.com. The forum cannot help you with this. Please contact their support directly.

    Hello,

I completely understand that it’s a commercial product, but the issue doesn’t seem to be limited to just one plugin tho. All the plugins are returning the same error, which leads me to believe this could be a broader, system-wide issue rather than something specific to a single plugin.

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Has the project been moved? If so, how? Presumably the database still contains old paths, which would have to be changed. Either you go to the settings of the plugins that write such things (which I cannot evaluate for commercial plugins and consider questionable for free plugins, if one does it). Or you can change the paths in the database, e.g. using Better Search & Replace.

It might also be helpful to take a look at Tools > Site Health if WordPress itself detects something problematic here.

My service provider did move the project from a staging account. Probably when this error occurred then. Thanks for your help. I’ll look into it further. Much appreciated.
