Hi,

It appears that the file was not fully downloaded or uploaded from the storage.
As an alternative, you can download the files manually and upload them in the “Backup/Restore” tab by clicking the “upload backup files” link. You can upload the files by component to make sure it uploads successfully.

Can you please try it again?

Hi Bryle,

I followed your instructions uploading them individually but still received an error when uploading the plugins zip file. The plugin Zip file stopped at 60.6 mb/81.9 mb, and a popup showed up saying,

“Upload Error (Code -200) : HTTP Error. Error:
The file failed to upload. Please check the following:
-Any settings in your .htaccess or web.config file that affects the maximum upload or post size
– The available memory on the server
– That you are attempting to upload a zip file previously created by UpdraftPlus”

I was successfully able to upload the “Themes” file and the “Others” File. For the “Uploads” file, I have 5 Uploads files! Is this normal? I’m still uploading those and will update if they succeed soon.

So just following up: My 5 “Uploads” Zip Files successfully uploaded. They were pretty large files, the first was 1.9 Gb, the second 398.9 MB, the third 397.8 MB, the fourth 394.9 MB, and the fifth 293.6 MB.

I found it strange that the 2nd,3rd, and 4th were all around the same size.

I tried uploading again the Plugins Zip file and it seemed to work (Completed).

So at this point, I had all 5 Uploads Zip Files completed, the Plugins Zip File completed, the Themes, the Others, and also the Database. Everything showed as complete. I then clicked “Restore” under the same date and time of the backup, and I got an error, saying I need to click something to delete old files in order to proceed. I clicked it, and then tried again, and upon the restoration (with everything except the database) I still got the critical error when in the “Uploads” section. It also showed errors in Final Checks.

Please let me know soon, my website has been down for 2 days because the backups aren’t working ??

I just tried using a different date for a backup and followed the same instructions. I downloading each zip file locally and uploaded them individually. When I click, “Restore”, even if I ONLY checkmark “uploads”, I get the message, ”

“UpdraftPlus Restoration – Restore files from [Date] (backup set imported from REMOTE location).

Retrieving (if necessary) and preparing backup files…
(An infinite circular arrow) Downloading backup files if needed

plugins:
Error:download FAILED
Google Drive: Backup_2021…..plugins.zip Error: File not found

Same thing for Themes and for Others.

And the downloads never progress! I don’t know what to try anymore. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi,

I believe your server/host has limited resources. The best solution would be to manually upload all the uploads.zip files. You just need to extract/unzip the files and upload them all in the “wp-content/uploads”. See step 2 here for complete guide.
