File uploads stopping at 25% (are within file size limits)

    I had a total of 8 PDF files I wanted to upload and five transited successfully. The remaining three are all stopping around the 25% mark and and ‘HTTP Error’ message appears at the top of the screen.

    I’ve tried both the browser-based file uploader and the multiple file uploader and both do the same thing. The prior files uploaded ranged between 1.6 MB and 6 MB and the remaining three are all about 6 MB, no larger than 6 MB.

    Internet connection is fine — no hiccups.

    Clues?

    possibilities – the upload is timinmg out,
    There is a plugin called ‘add from server’ youmight want to try – you upload the files to the server and then you use the plugin to add them to your site
