I would like to ask for your help once more.
We are using some multistep forms and one of the steps contain file uploading field. The said files are stored in the public_html folder on the server in the uploads folder. Is there a way to set a different folder path for the files to be stored. Ideally we would like to be stored in a private folder on the server.
We have tried the mu-plugin in order to change the path but it is still under the public_html folder on the server.

Hello dear Zafer,
thank you very much for your prompt reply.
We have tried the mu-plugins and we were not able to store the files in a folder outside the wp-content path. We need the folder to be outside the public_html folder, on a higher level and private folder for security reasons.
Is there any other solution you may suggest in order to resolve this specific request?

Hope you are doing fine!

There is another code snippet than can help you modify the upload path as required. Check the following gist:

You can make the path changes in the lines 146 and 147. The WP_CONTENT_URL should changed to the path where you need to save the files outside the public_html folder:
```
$upload_dir_url = WP_CONTENT_URL . "/forminator/{$this->form_id}/{$year}/{$month}/{$day}/{$temp_hash}";$this->upload_dir_path = WP_CONTENT_DIR . "/forminator/{$this->form_id}/{$year}/{$month}/{$day}/{$temp_hash}";
```
Please try this as a mu-plugin as indicated by Zafer in previous threads.
