File upload Required field not working

    Hi im using multistep with latest version of contact form. I have most of my inputs marked as required using *.

    Text, number and radio inputs work perfectly, each one validates the required attribute when going to the next step but the file upload ones don’t.

    Users are allowed to skip the upload file input in every step and only warns about missing required inputs when reaching to final step N8 before submiting.

    Is there any way i can make file upload required fields validate when going to next step?

    Thanks for coming today!

    First, please make sure you are using the latest version of the multistep plugin and CF7 plugin itself.

    Also, may I know which plugin you are using to control file upload?

    Plugins are up to date.

    Contact Form 7
    Version 5.6.2

    Multi Step for Contact Form 7 (Lite)
    Version 2.6.8

    Conditional Fields for Contact Form 7
    Version 2.2.3

    For file upload im just using the regular Contact Form 7 file tag. i can paste an example

    [file* file-202 limit:400000 filetypes:pdf|jpg]

    Also, im having another issue:

    how can i upgrade this plugin without losing all CF7 multistep previous configuration?

    should i upload via wordpress or ftp? do i have to delete my previous CF7 multi step plugin? am i going to lose anything?

    my problem is resolved. It’s working great.

    now i’m getting two instances of the plugin. The old one, which is desactivated, and this new one you just shared with me.

    is this new version going to update automatically in the future?

    You need to delete the old one from your site.
    Also, WordPress would notify you each time we put out a new update.
