I’m using ver. 2.2.2 of FileManager with WordPress 4.6. I tried to upload 34 .jpg files today, adding them to existing folders. I uploaded each file individually after trying to batch upload them. All are visible in FileManager but not all can be seen on the site. One file displays in the thumbnail size even though the full-size file is in the folder. I replaced that file three times, and even though the file in the folder shows the full-size dimensions, it does not display correctly. In another folder, three files and three thumbnails were uploaded and are in the folder but are not visible on the page.

I checked the pages in Internet Edge and Firefox on PCs running Windows 8 and 10, and a Mac running the latest OS X. I refreshed the pages several times, and then waited a couple of hours in case the server needed to update the site.

Can you suggest a fix for this problem that doesn’t involve installing version 3.1?

    Thank you.

Uploading image files through file manager doesn’t put a record on wordpress media or media library. That’s why you can’t see the uploaded images in the media or media library.

This problem has nothing to do with the media library. The files can’t be seen on the site.

Could you please clarify what do you mean by “Files can’t be seen on site”?

The files (photo and thumbnail) are added to a gallery folder in File Manager that produces a tiled display on the website page. In the page I mentioned, the three photo and thumbnail files added to the folder most recently can be seen in the gallery folder but they are not visible on the page. I hope that explains it.
Could there be an issue with the file extension? All are .jpg files and as far as I can tell “.jpg” is lower case.
Is there a limit on the number of folders and files that File Manager can process?
I really don’t know where to look for the solution to this and I’m not technically knowledgeable about WordPress.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

PICNIC (problem in chair, not in computer). The files had a “..JPG” suffix instead of “.jpg”. I have no idea how it happened but once I renamed them, they all displayed correctly.
