    Hello,

I am using a form which allows different file types. In the extended types I have not entered SVG.

Nevertheless it is possible for me to upload SVG files.

Could you a) add SVG files as a checkbox and b) fix the error that SVG files, although disabled, can be uploaded?

    Thanks!

    Tobias

  • Hello @thueske !

I’m very sorry to hear that you’ve experienced this issue!

I’ve been able to replace the issue – I’ve already reported it to our Forminator team for further checking.

I’ve also asked our Second Line Support team if they can provide a snippet that would block SVG uploads. We’ll notify you here as soon as we hear back from them.

    Kind regards,
    Pawel

    Hello @thueske !

    Hope you’re doing well today!

It looks like the issue may be due to some server-side setting and it’s actually happening on some servers but not all.

Our Second Line Support team has prepared a snippet to fix that in the meantime while we’re looking into it further. Here’s the snippet: https://gist.github.com/wpmudev-sls/6576a2f37a980dc3ad58409ded9fd05f

    To install:
    – create the wp-content/mu-plugins directory if it doesn’t exist
    – copy the shared code to a .php file
    – upload the file to wp-content/mu-plugins
    – test

I’ve tested it on my test site where this was also possible to reproduce and it worked fine. Please let us know if this snippet also solves the issue on your end.

    Best regards,
    Pawel
