Hi ashbryant, are you referring to file change detection under scanner? If you are then I think you can’t add the error_log file because it does not have an extension.

    Hi,

Yeah I was. This is annoying then as I will keep getting emails (as I need to know if anything else may have changed).

I think this should be a feature request then.

The error_log is a system generated file that shouldn’t contain anything when the site is running smoothly. It is the main file that plugin will scan when looking for errors. If you want to ignore that file then you can simply turn that feature off. I have also taken note that you requested this as a feature.

Thanks, but how do I ignore that file?

    Hi @ashbryant,
Is the log file located in a certain directory or is it in your root folder?
Did you enter “error_log” in the “Files/Directories To Ignore” box?
In the meantime we will check our code to see why files with no extensions aren’t being ignored.
